Welcome to the International Programme for Politics and Economics

We are living in an increasingly global and interdependent world that influences the political and economic environment at international-, national- and local levels. This new interlinked political-economic landscape must be understood in an interdisciplinary global context.

At University West we offer the International Programme for Politics and Economics (IPPE), an English-language three-year multi-disciplinary program that draws from local and international perspectives to integrate disciplines for real-world application.

IPPE provides you with a BA degree that combines the subjects of political science, economics and human/economic geography. With training in these areas you will be well equipped to understand and critically analyse the interlinked economic and political processes from global to local levels.

Students enrolled in IPPE also have the opportunity to study or do an internship abroad as part of the third year of studies. During this term, IPPE students are encouraged to take advantage of available stipends and of University West's many partner universities to expand and apply their learning experience internationally.

In addition, students enrolled at participating ERASMUS universities or at one of our international partner schools worldwide are welcome to study any of the IPPE course packages, or even the entire 3-year IPPE program.
